Decile MCP Overview
Decile MCP
Decile is an ecommerce customer analytics platform. The Decile MCP (Model Context Protocol) brings the power of Decile's capabilities into your AI platforms, so you can analyze your store's performance and customers in plain language and extend your workflow even further with tools enabled in platforms like Claude, ChatGPT, and more.
What you can do
Explore your ecommerce metrics
Ask about your store's performance in your own words. The connector covers:
- Revenue & orders — net sales, order counts, units, average order value, profit, refunds, discounts.
- Products — product and category performance, hero items, product mix, vendors, variants.
- Customers — acquisition, retention, cohorts, lifetime revenue, tenure, subscription behavior.
- Channels & campaigns — performance by UTM source, medium, and campaign.
- Demographics & interests — how your customers skew on enriched attributes like age, gender, income, and interests and more.
- Audiences & segments — reference audiences and segments saved in your Decile account.
- Integration-based data — include Klaviyo events and Recharge subscription data if enabled in your Decile account.
Example prompts
"What were my net sales last month?"
"Which product categories are growing fastest?"
"How does my customer base skew on income compared to the US population?"
Profile a customer segment
Describe a group of customers in plain language and get a profile of how that group
differs from your overall customer base — across behavior (lifetime revenue, AOV,
order count, tenure), demographics, and product preferences.
Example prompts
"Tell me about my high-value repeat buyers."
"What do my subscription customers look like compared to everyone else?"
Consistent, Decile-standard definitions
Analyses use Decile's standard definitions — new vs. returning customers, qualified orders, segment profiles, and seasonal/holiday windows — so the numbers you see in Claude stay consistent with the rest of your Decile reporting.
Data and privacy
-
Third-party platform. This MCP is accessed through a third-party AI platform
(such as Claude). Your use of that platform, and any data exchanged within it, is governed
by the terms, policies, and privacy practices of its provider — not by Decile.
-
AI-generated output, used at your own risk. Responses are generated by AI and may be
incomplete or inaccurate. Review and verify outputs before relying on or acting on them.
The connector is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, and Decile is not
responsible for the third-party platform or for any decisions made based on its output.
MCP Installation
To use this connector you need:
- An active Decile account connected to your ecommerce platform.

-
Log in using your Decile log in credentials.
Note: If you have access to multiple brands in Decile, please select the brand you wish to connect. See Limitations below for more information.
- After logging in, you will see a confirmation screen and be redirected back to Claude. The Decile Connector is now active.
Test it out:
- In a new Chat or Cowork session, ask Claude a question about your brand or customers, for example "How many orders did we have in the last 30 days?"
- You will be prompted to select tool permissions. The MCP requires these tools to run, but you can select how often Claude asks before running a tool.
- When Claude is done, you should see that Decile tools were used to answer your prompt!
Limitations
The Decile connector can only be connected to a single brand at a time.
For brands connected with a single Decile account/email logins:
- To switch brands, tell Claude you'd like to switch Decile brands and follow the prompts that follow. We recommend starting a fresh Chat or Cowork session if the current session contains results from the previously connected brand.
For brands connected to different Decile accounts/email logins:
- Disconnect the Decile connector in Claude by going to Customize > Connectors > Decile and press Disconnect
- Reconnect the Decile connector in Claude, but on the Decile login screen enter the new login credentials and select the desired brand associated with that login.
